Wolf info

I agree Scotty. The sad thing is, it appears that WY is the one causing all of the issues because they won't come up with a viable plan! Of course it is beyond stupid to claim that all three states share the same wolves but still.....you would think that WY would at least give them SOMETHING to avoid having them relisted.

I'm just afraid it is a lost cause!

What are they going to come up with next ?

Kind of like saying AZ, NM, CO, UT, WY, ID & MT should all follow the same statutes for our elk " as a whole " ? hmmmmm

It's only a matter of time before the Wolf migrates south in larger numbers and obliterates the elk heard here as it has furhter north.

They are going to have too soon, they will have eaten all the deer and elk out of the Northern States! I know that is kinda far off, but they are putting a good strain on the elk herd where I hunt in Idaho. It is like watching a train wreck, when it could be stopped. Scotty

I can tell you first hand that the wolves here in Montana have become a curse. Just look at the 2010 hunting regs. In those areas with lots of wolves the extra doe tags and cow elk hunting opportunities have really been reduced. Just as well because there is no game left anyway. The scary part is just how quick the wolves depleated the big game populations.

The other thing that they depleted was the Wildlife Services Budget (Former Animal Damage Control). Helicopter flights are suspended until Oct 1 (Fed. fiscal year). Now that hunting has been suspended and the Wolves (North of I-90) have full ESA protection, only Wildlife Servies can kill problem wolves and there best tool is grounded.
