Hey fellas, I know if we had to we could all get by with a 30-06, a 22 LR and a 12 gauge to do everything in the lower 48 but if in Utopia what would your list be...here is mine!

I am not anti magnum, but they all seem to sing the same song to me, I enjoy shooting my guns from all positions and though there is the possibility of long range shooting, I enjoy getting within a quarter of a mile preferably much closer before even attempting a shot at an unwounded animal, with the exception of coyotes. They will get shot at no matter the range. Anyhow, let me know fellas.

.300 WSM Win 70 Classic SS- Long range anything
.338 Win Mag Ruger No I- The big boys with attitude

and my favorite for last :grin: .358 Win BLR 81 for anything in front of me 90% of the time!

30-06 for everything that moves.
338wm for 350-1000lbs
375 Ruger for things that bite back or want to stomp me.

204 Ruger - little critters and rifle competitions
223 - Slightly bigger critters
243 - Coyotes and so on
270WSM - deer, hogs... things of this size
300Sav - Close range in-the-timber gun
300RUM - Across the canyon Elk/Moose gun
338WM - Things that may see me as breakfast, lunch , or dinner

Thinking about a 338RUM or 338-378WBY just because and/or just to have one.
