I recently purchased 7-30 Waters and 35 Remington barrels for my Contender.
The first pic is my 1st sub 1" group with the 7-30 at 100 yards.

The second pic is my first attempt with the 35 Rem after mounting the scope. The first shot is in the yellow at 25yards. I adjusted the scope down 4 clicks which is supposed to be 1" at 50 yards after shooting the first one at 25 yards. The other three are at 50 yards. This is with Remington factory ammo. The last two shots were right together high middle.

That is looking very good. Should be some fun to hunt with those.

The 14" 35 rem is a favorite of mine. Great performance on game. 200gr rem SP clock right about 1900fps and lay whitetails down with serious authority.

The only barrel I like more is the 45/410 barrel. There are few things more fun than chasing ptarmigan around when the caribou are scarce.

I use to load 158gr pistol bullets in my nephew's 35 and it was deadly of ground hogs and very explosive at the higher velocities. My 7-30 barrel was very accurate till I had a muzzle break put on it and it was installed off center. Use to be able to shoot rocks off hand at 100yds with no problems. All my loads came from the Lyman pistol manual.
Seems to be shooting well for you. I mostly shot Hornady and Sierra bullets out of my 7-30 and it really liked the 120gr bullets.

I took one blue grouse on the fly with the Contender 410. Only one I've ever gotten despite other chances. My brothers still call that the miracle.

I don't even bother shooting at these ptarmigan unless their flying. Honestly you could probably hunt these things with a long stick! Sometimes you have to almost kick them up into the air. I used to use a 22lr for almost all my small game hunting. The 410 pistol just makes things more fun.
