Anyone out there happen to have an "extra" playing safe-queen that might need a new home?
 
I have seen a couple of the new Marlington 45/70s and they leave me feeling very sad. Once a very nice product, now .....

Agreed, I'd get an 1886 Winchester, older Marlin or a Henry before wasting my money on a new Marlin. Mine is not going anywhere, like JD's and about a dozen others, it shoots really well and it about perfect for hunting in the woods. Love my Guide Rifle a bunch.

Yeah, here is the same rifle with a different lever, scope and mounts, but again, it is a rock amongst my rifles.
