Bob.
From memory it seams like my rifle (Rem 700) liked RL25 the best, both with accuracy, and velocities..... May want to try a can. Another note is: if your a "Partition guy" thats a great bullet for sure! However since my gun will shoot 120gr Speers, into the same hole, as it does a Partition. Most because of cost, I started out using them for target practice. But some some history with Speers120gr bullets is they have a noticeable higher BC for longer shots, and you wont find a soul that isnt happy with bullet performance??? And at $19.95 for a box of HUNDRED, (on sale at Midway right now) they are certainly a great buy.
That Speer 120 bullet has now accounted for 4 Maine Moose, from 515lbs to a 911lb and with well placed shots
All were ONE shot kills, my cousin borrowed it to try a long shot on a big buck last fall down in the blueberry barrens and poleaxed a 227lb/ 11 pointer with the Speer 120 at 455 yds. So its a very capable bullet regardless of its cost. Good luck with your loading!

Nice. I just got a couple more lbs of 26 so I'm going to go down that path. I have 100 TTSXs shooting lights out with 26 but want to try 120 Partitions and 110 accubonds before I settle on a bullet. Not opposed to Speer either just never tried them!

For deer don't overlook the 115 BTs or Sierra 117s the Pro Hunter flat base shoots best for me over the Game King boat tail. I knew an old fellow that was a very experience big game hunter and he killed everything from elk on down with a 25-06 and once made this statement. "I could kill and elephant with a 25-06, I'd blow his head off." LOL He mostly shot 100 gr Sierra for deer size game and 100 partitions for elk. In my experience, and that is vast on deer with the 25-06, it don't matter what bullet you use from 100 to 120 grs you do your part and they will do their part. Bang = DRT.
