Well it took me 3 trips to the gun show this weekend and i still couldn't keep myself talked out od this little beauty. Sako vixen in 223. One of the previous owners from the last 50 years looks to have put in some inlays in the stock, but it kept the price down. And also picked up a vari-x II gloss to put on it once i get some rings

That's a fine looking rifle and from a manufacture that's known for quality and accuracy. Those inlays wouldn't bother me a bit. Good rifle to own.

Nice!

Been looking forward to the upcoming gun shows...but that has all changed with the coronavirus!
All cancelled or postponed for the time being.

That's cool. The inlays are just a sign of the times when it was done. Signatures of a time when the gunsmith craft could mean some real skill on the part of some above average guys. Its not just bolting on a part like I can do... :) . And it likely shoots! Classic scope too! CL

Thanks guys, im looking forward to getting it out. I got an older pair of millet rings off ebay should hopefully be in before the weekend. Looked at some original vintage sakos and ohh boy are they proud of those at $150+ so I'll just keep my eyes open down the road. And the millet are new old stock and should be fine on the 223. Will hopefully have a range report but the end of the weekend

Well it shoots! got the rings in the mail today mounted it up and got to the range before the sun went down. Very happy for just using some HSM remanufactured 55gr fmj

Well, for sure it does appear to want to shoot. Looks as if you found a winner.
