I ended up buying a Jeep Wrangler that I’m going to modify over time and thought I’d post pics of the work here. The pictures are in stock form.

I’ll be putting on the front bumper next week and I should have the rear bumper by then too.

Never been in to cars but this Jeep is like redoing my childhood. I’m starting to see the appeal of taking a vehicle and making it yours. Before trucks and cars were just a means to haul and pull stuff and get from A to B.

I see this becoming an exercise in poverty. 🤣

Sorry Vince! The "Vince2" and "Beginner" thing messed with my head and I thought you were someone new to the forum. Sigh...

Jeeps can be addicting... I've had fun setting mine up the way I like it. In a few months I'll have had it ten years, bought it new in 2012.

Regards, Guy

Hard for me to believe that ten years have passed. I've been reading about your adventures with this Jeep from the beginning. The account is always fascinating. You've brought each of us along with you through your excellent photojournalism.

No Kidding! 10 years huh?!? Guess I've had my "rolling ground blind" that long too. Seems like its been a good investment in fun for Guy. Hopefully you will have the same. CL

Dang, bringing back some memories! One of my favorite vehicles that I'm still kicking my rear end for selling was a rag-top '79 CJ-7 with a 304 V8 . We spent 2 years rebuilding/upgrading it and I loved that thing..Then the babies came along and I sold it..I don't know how many deer had their chest cavities spread over the spare tire with their feet tied to the bumper.

I had trouble logging back on with my original username.
Maybe they locked my account because I was inactive for so long?

Yeah, bringing back memories for me as well. I had a 46 Willys with a 327 Chevy in it, I bought it from my late uncle when I was in college. I used to take it to Colorado every year deer and elk hunting in the late 70's and early 80's. I built an expanded metal rack for the back that went around the spare time and it worked great for hauling game.

Vince is going to love his Jeep almost as much as he loved riding bulls, right Buddy?

New front bumper is on. Now I need to paint the rear bumper.
Pics to come.

If the wind would ever quit blowing I’d be able to Krylon the rear bumper I traded for.

Put the LED turn signals in this morning.

Putting the winch on this afternoon. I decided that I don’t like the stainless steel bolts so I’m painting them black.

The winch has been sitting for a year. Ordered it when I bought the Jeep. Just never got around to putting it on. I was unemployed for eight months due to Covid messing up my health so I kept it boxed in case I had to sell it.

More pics to come.
