Yesterday during our youth/senior citizen antlerless season which spikes under 3 inches are legal, I got this one using my Sako Forester 308 Winchester. The load is;
Nosler 125grAB
Win Case
CCI 200 Primer
47.5grs Tac Powder
MV= 3074.2 fps

Deer was facing to the right slightly quarting to me. Distance about 90 yards. I hit on front edge of shoulder and bullet was recovered under the hide behind the left ribcage after passing thru shoulder, heart, one lung,liver and stomach. Retained weight is 90grs. I was pleased with the performance of this bullet especially after its travel. A friend uses this bullet exclusively in his 308. I wanted to see for myself. Now I know.

Congratulations on your successful hunt. That lil butterball will be tasty. The 308 125 AB looks like a solid choice!

Congrats on some tasty venison. I used to shoot the Hornady 130 grain SP loaded to about 2700 fps in my .300 Savage for coyotes but always wanted to use it on a deer. Never got the chance.

Congrats! That's a beautiful rifle. I am a big fan of the Sako Foresters. I have one in .243 Win sans the Mannlicher stock...

Holy smokes WV! What an excellent rifle and excellent recovery as well. Man, that is cool all the way around!
