    Wow kiss da ABs?

I ordered some of those Thompson Targets a week ago. They showed up in the mail while I was actually at the range...lol. I'll be trying them in a few weeks.

Pulled Accubonds vs. Out of the box AB's?

Recently I purchased 2 boxes of Nosler Trophy Grade 130 gr. Accubonds factory ammo (.264 Win Mag). Since I purchased the ammo just for the brass, I pulled the bullets and put them aside, dumped the powder, deprimed and reprimed. After reloading with 140 gr. BT's and not being overwhelmed with...

.264WM gets a turn at the range.......................

I have been shooting my new .264 the past few weekends and testing loads. I have been using the 140 gr. Ballistic Tips and have gotten similar results with the pictures you posted. However, my best groups where in the 2800 fps range (chronographed) with 3/4" -7/8" groups. The group size...

    Wow kiss da ABs?

Forgot to ask...what targets are they? I have been using the Hoppe's targets for years and have been satisified in general with them, but always felt there may be something better out there...I just haven't really seen one I thought was a marked improvement.

Time to start buying the pieces

If you get into tumbling your brass, I STRONGLY recommend the stainless tumbling media set up. I used the traditional vibratory and corn cob/walnut media for yearsssss. After using the stainless media system, there is simply no comparison. http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com/

    Hornady L n' L OAL Gauge

Thanks for the info Steve. Explains why my 5/16" x 24 die ALMOST worked on the gauge...lol

    Hornady L n' L OAL Gauge

Does anyone know what the thread size is on the Hornady gauge? Is it some strange thread? Metric perhaps? I just came from a local industrial store and they were not able to determine the thread size. I'd like to be able to make my own modified cases for what I need rather than buy them from...

    Safe?

Liberty Safe for me. All the previous posts regarding safe capacities are spot on. They will hold no where near what they claim. Bolt actions and scopes requiring the most space.

    stainless steel media

I just purchased the stainless media tumbling kit less than a year ago after using traditional tumblers & corn cob/walnut media for the previous 25 years or so. I will never go back to the traditional tumblers! I love my Stainless Steel Media Kit!

Not Sure What Bullet to Load

I was looking at so many rifles, I THOUGHT the Muddy Girl was available in the .260...it's not. I will end up with a Remington Model Seven for my daughter.

    Death of my Tumbler

Dittos on the stainless media tumbler! I wish I would have purchased one when I first saw them. They are incredible! As for the drying, I simply dump mine out onto a towel and then lay them on an electric food dehydrator for a few hours and they are done. I don't tumble anywhere near my...

Not Sure What Bullet to Load

Thank you all very much for taking the time to respond to my question. My daughter will be 11 this September. I did forget that I had her out once this past summer and she shot my .280 Rem. with some 100 gr. light loads that I had loaded previously for my middle son. She liked those and then...

Not Sure What Bullet to Load

I'm planning on purchasing a .260 Remington for my daughter to start whitetail hunting with. Most likely a Savage Muddy Girl, but not sure yet. Anyhow, I'm torn as to what grain weight and style of bullet to load for it. I'm leaning towards the 120 gr. BT as I shoot the old 140 gr. Solid Base...

    Case Tumbling Residue

Gentlemen, I was wondering what you may use to remove the tumbling residue from inside the cases? I have been tumbling with corn cobb media followed by walnut media. After tumbling I noticed there is a fair amount of the walnut media residue left inside the cases. I have been using a case...

    Brass quality?

I was just going through some ammo I had loaded a good while ago and I examined a box of my 7mm BR and noticed out of a box of 20 that I had about 3-4 rds. that the necks had split after loading and just sitting on the shelf. It is Remington brass as well. This is the only time I've ever had...

    7mm-08 & 100 Grain Bullet Loads

Gentlemen, I am leaning on a 7mm-08 for my 7 year old son to shoot/hunt with. He is only 5 now. I have a bunch of 100 gr..284 dia. bullets (Sierra and Hornady). I wanted to let him "burn" them up this coming spring with some light powder charges and these 100 gr. bullets and get him used to...

    Gander Mountain & Primers

The GM here had no rifle primers at all...no CCI, Remington, Federal, Winchester, etc.

    Gander Mountain & Primers

I agree with the whole Gander Mt. thing in general...we used to have 2-3 other small family run guns shops in the area, one of which was outstanding. I could walk in there and 9 times out of 10 walk out with what I went for. I never needed anything that was out of the ordinary either. Well...
