    Nosler Bullet Wish List

284 - Looking for tough, fast bullets that can compete with the 120 gr TTSX. This is wicked good bullet for the 7-08, 284, 280, and 7mm mag types for everything from antelope to elk. A higher BC say a 120 gr E-Tip or 120 gr Accubond would be a great alternative and would get my business.

    2011 additions?

JD, I have used the 140 gr with some success but I can't get the 160 gr ABs to shoot very well in any of my rifles. I am looking for a tough 120 gr bullet for my wife's 7-08AI (MV between 3150-3200 fps) - will use 120 TTSX this year. Hoping a 150 gr AB would shoot better and work in the 284 win...

    2011 additions?

Thanks JD, Disappointed no 120 gr or 150 gr Accubonds in 7mm. Guess it'll be Barnes and Hornady for another year for me.

    7mm WSM/Rifles

I have a Win 7wsm, it is an excellent all around deer and elk cartridge. Used 150 gr partitions to take my one and only elk in NM at 322 yards. It works great on Missouri white tail, with 140 gr Accubonds, but is really a little bit overkill imo. I also shoot a 7-08 and 284 win, and they are...

Anybody tried RL17 and 140s in 280 Rem?

I load for a 284 win which has almost identical powder capacity to the 280 Rem. I have gotten very good velocity using RL-17 - probably 50 fps more than with I-4350 - using 140 gr ABs or TTSX. It also works well in my 7mm wsm. No complaints - glad Alliant came out with it.

    No word on a 150 gr 7mm?

    New Accubonds for 2009?

Any word yet on which size Accubonds will be added to Nosler's lineup for 2009?

    7mm 150 gr Accubond?

To answer your question of the 150 vs the other two, probably not much. I've used 140 ABs from both 7wsm and 7-08 on white tail deer for several years and had excellent success. Loaded the wife up some 120 BTs this past season and they performed about the same - instant kill, complete pass...

    Reloader 17

I am just in the initial stages of load development for my 284 win using RL-17. I just posted on another topic on this forum that without pushing it, 2900 fps with 160 NAB is easily obtainable - 24" barrel. I am confident I could go another grain over that load without any pressure signs - maybe...

    7mm 150 gr Accubond?

Without pushing it at all, 2900 fps is easily obtainable. This is with a 24" barrel. There is an excellent writeup on 6mmBR.com on this powder in this cartridge - seems like they were made for each other. A guy on another forum on 24 Hour Campfire uses moly bullets and gets another 100+ fps...

    7mm 150 gr Accubond?

Right now, if I had to decide, I'd probably go with the 160 AB. Groups are pretty good so far, and honest, velocity using RL-17 is very good. I don't think there is a huge difference, and I recently bought another box of 160s, but for some reason, for this cartridge, the 150 gr AB seems like it...

    7mm 150 gr Accubond?

Any chance we could see this bullet this year? I'm going on an elk hunt in October and this is one I'd seriously consider for my 284 win. Expect mv to be around 2950-3000 fps with RL-17. I'm really holding off on developing loads until this question gets answered.

    284 win help?

Anyone have any load data they can share for a 284 winchester? This one is built on a Win M-70 SA and can be seated to about 3.050" COL. Any info would be appreciated. bludog

What bullets do you want to see in 2009?

7mm 150 gr Accubond - first and foremost! 7mm 140 gr E-Tip next. 7mm 120-130 gr Accubond or E-tip next. Smaller for caliber, tougher bullets are getting more and more popular.

    7mm 150 gr E-Tip Report

JD, how long is this bullet compared to say a 160 gr AB?

    7mm-08 elk bullet.

I echo the recommendation for 47-49 gr or W-760 (mag primers) for the 140 gr Accubond. My wife and I have used that load the last few years here in Mid-MO. Works great on big whitetail - we've killed 3 - 8 pointers with it. Both of our guns have 24" barrels and we are over 2950 fps.

    Tikka 7mm -08

You might try either W-760 or H-414 with mag primers. You should be able to safely and easily work up to the 47.5-48 gr range. You won't be disappointed in your velocity or accuracy.

What bullets do you want to see in 2009?

All of these are for 7mm in order of preference: 150 gr Accubond - awesome bullet for the wsm, Mag, 284 win and 280. 140 gr E-Tip - elk bullet for 7-08, 7X57 as well as those rounds above -150 E-Tip is long for 7-08 120 gr Accubond - great flat shooter - tough enough for close shots 120 gr E-Tip...
