    First buck with the 7-08

Congrats on the meat in the freezer. Looks like good eating! The more I think about it the more perfect the 7-08 seems as a "one rifle for everything" rig.

300 Weatherby QL Request and Node inquiry

This is close to one of my wintertime sanity projects; the 208 gr AMax in my Vangard. Thinking something slower than the 7828SSC I used on 155s; maybe RL-25 or -26? H-1000? Retumbo? Anybody have an idea of the best place to start?

    .300 Weatherby, Ramshot Magnum, RL23, or IMR-7828 & 150 TTSX

Dr Mike thank you very much! I am excited to report that I FINALLY took this recently-completed rifle to the range yesterday & my first two 3-shot groups at 100 yds were about 1.25" w/ factory 180 gr loads. This data will give me what I need to get a deer load worked up and be ready to hammer...

    Hornady's NEW ELD-X bullet

Even if it's true about the polymer in the tips it doesn't matter to 99.999999999% of hunters anyway. At the 400 yds & shorter, the melt doesn't matter for Jack. That having been said I like the overall idea. I'll definitely try em.

    New Mexico Muzzleloader success.

Wow man that is a fantastic adventure right there! How long did it take to draw the tag? Is there a particular reason you chose NM as the destination? You're hard core man; such an awesome adventure!
