That 264 shot around 4 inches @ 500 yds last time we stretched her legs a little. I know alot of guys wouldn't call that stretching a 6.5mm, but I'll take anything under MOA.
A 6.5 WSM would be a great little round, but the rifle already has a 264 barrel on it.
I just got a barrel wrench and thought since I've got the rifle where I want it, I can play with a different caliber for only the cost of a pre-fitted barrel and dies.
That 264...
If I were to go ahead with it, I would just get a prefit Pac Nor barrel for my savage. Dies are $120 from Graf's and if I go with the improved I'd be looking at a custom reamer and hs gauge for around $250 and also a $250 set of custom dies. Or I could just go with the 6mm-300WSM and settle for...
I've wanted a hot 6mm for along time and I finally got a Savage barrel wrench(not common here in Canada), so I am wondering what could I expect from a 6mm WSM?? I am of the mind I can get 3200 with a 105-107 grn match bullet and around 3050-3100 with a 115 grn DTAC, but am not sure that is worth...
The tarnish polished off with a rag easily, it was pretty bad. It looks great now.
I really like how it looks, but am not sure I want to keep something I really should not shoot. IT was produced in my birth year and I live in the province it commemerates.......

Well, the Winchester 94 Alberta Diamond Jubilee and finishing my basement, my gun budget is in recession. THe ADJ is pretty sweet tho, so I'll just enjoy that for awhile.
Hello, coriolis effect and ABC calculator. Sweet rig, that was my guess except in the Allen Mag incarnation. Anything based on the Cheytac is a monster, congrats on a nice build. Good work staying below the weight restriction for some of the stated that discourage hunting with BMG's.

Super 30, lol the last stop before "one for the price of two" bullets and ammo. Had a couple bigger 30's and they were great. I want a 338, but the cost is alot more.

I'm always looking for something interesting and a little bit unique as far as guns go.
I don't have a domestic 1911, just a norinco commander in 45 and it's fine, but I'd sort of like to shop around for a 10mm in a Kimber or Colt Delta Elite.
Anybody have a bit of experiance with one or both...
I have been big game hunting for 18 years, hunting grouse and the like for 20 years & reloading for 11.
Over the past few years I have bought sold and traded alot of rifles. Some good, some bad and some that I wish I'd kept. If I added them up the number would be between 100 and 200. The lady...
The reciever could use a polish, I'm not sure how a pewter finish polishes, the stock is gorgeous. I was thinking this would be a heck of a short range anything gun. I'll wait and see if one of my buddies here is wanting it for an investment. If I keep it, it most likely will see the field.

There was 2700 ADJ commemorative's made total, all in 38-55. Production year was 1980. There is one on gunbroker right now, but this one has a much nicer stock

Would you shoot this?? It's a 38-55 Winchester "Alberta Diamond Jubilee" commemorative, unfired with original box. It does have some tarnishing on the reciver, but that could be polished up a bit.
I sold off my Sako 75 7mm rem, I still don't know why, but I just didn't take to that rifle...
I got the VTR back yesterday and only had time to fire 1 round off the deck to see how the fired brass looked. I stole the leupold 4.5-14X40 off my 7mm and mounted it, bore sighted it (didn't need any adjustment :-)) this morning and here are the pics.
I added my 22-250AI Rem 700 to the pic too...
When I think 1 gun, my thought process turns to a more european concept, Blaser 93 with a case full of barrels. Or if it has to be pinned down to one caliber and no swichtable barrels, A weatherby DGR in 378 or 416. Be the 416 with two scopes on leopold QR mounts. A 1.5-4 X a 4.5-14X40AO. Choice...
