Yeppers.... I normally keep them down but up for the photo.
Those are there in case something happens to the EoTech. I learned as a Marine to never completely trust anything that operates on batteries.
The pop-ups fit tight on the rails and seem to be solid puppies. I looked at others...
This is my base AR. It is an Olympic Multi meaning it is meant for 5.56 or 223. Something alot of folks miss when buying an AR.
As you can see I have changed out the furniture with MagPul and I am using Dark Earth so that in reaching into the safe in a hurry I know which rifle is mine and...
Well this is my wife's CAR-15 or XM-177 depending on how you wish to classify it.
The specs on it are in my thread: My Wife's New Toy.
I'm building another one for myself and should have pics up within a week so 2. Mine will have a bit different appearance but it will be of the same...

We had it down in Texas back in April hitting Javalina size steel targets are 300 meters using 55 grn Federal XM855 ammo.

Having a short wife and her desire to own a black rifle takes in some thought.
I started out with a MagTech magnesium alloy lower and then an E.R. Shaw 11.5 inch pistol upper on it AFTER we extended the barrel with a 5.5 inch flash suppressor.
A1 style triangle forehand with skate board tape...
Down here in the SW not a lot of need for the 375H&H altho I do know a couple people who own them.
The 30-30 is the prime rifle for hunting in our thick brush, but the 270 is right behind it along with the .308. The 30-06 is still very much around but for our smaller deer here, it is not...

I use 2400 in my 3 41Mags... a 57, 657 snubby, and my 10 inch Contender.
I've recently switched to 2400 in my 500 S&W over H110... burns cleaner and better IMHO.
I picked up an Olympic Arms A4 a couple weeks ago at my local WalMart for $654.00, which included taxes.
Not sure we will see the prices return to where they were this time last year, but they will be coming down.
And I have no pity for those who paid double or triple for them during the...
I was talking with Lou Alessi one afternoon and he commented that one thing about an ankle hoster that he really liked was that you could get to the firearm while driving a car, unlike an IWB or belt holster.
He traveled across the country carrying that way. In his opinion, while driving there...
I have an Alessi ankle holster for a Colt Mustang. It also fits my Llama Mirco. All leather, no elastic to stretch and walk down the ankle. Have worn it for hours without a problem.
A bit pricie, but worth the price.
Remember...... if you are right handed, you want to wear the firearm on...
All my orders come to the shop I manage...... and I get home about an hour before the wife on most days....
Back when I was buying rifles I did not want the wife to know about..... I would hand them off to a bud.. then next range day I'd take an empty hardcase with me too the range.. pick up...
The only folks in the government that can benefit from buying components is the military marksmanship units for their match ammo which they load themselves. The military snipers who have all their ammo loaded by the marksmanship units. And possibily the HRT units of various federal law...
