NOW my BLR 450 Marlin with 500 gr Interbonds loaded HOT is a different storey when it comes to Recoil - it has LOTS ! :shock: LOL :grin:

Both the 338 Fed and the 358 Win are NOT much different then a 308 Win in felt recoil - i have rifles in all 3 and i feel very little difference even With the 30-40g r heavier bullets of the 338 & 358 myself ! :grin: RJ

I have both cartridges the 338 Fed and the 358 Win - recoil is NOT a factory with either ! :grin: RJ My 338 Fed is in the Tikka TS SS Lite rifle The 358 Win is in a BLR rifle .

2 for me - Both smallish Bears - 6 & 6.5 - a long time ago (70's-80's) - both uneventfull hunts one a spot an stalk on a powerline - shot him ( 7mm Rem Mag) and he ran about 50 yards and piled up -the other i shot ( 264 Win Mag ) across a creek canyon at about 250 yards - he never moved after...

One more thing - this ruger 22-250 has a 10 twist barrel instead of the 14 twist most 22-250's come with so it should shoot 60 gr + bullets much better too ! :grin: RJ

Ok so i pulled it down for a LOOK - Cheaply built gun as expected :shock: :lol: - barrel is held to receiver by a barrel nut - it has no notches like a Salvage so i do not know how they tighten it up ? Trigger is a Klunky sized thing - way bigger then it needs to be ! Ajusted it to a low of...

Got it ! I will rip it a part to tonite and have a LOOK ! Picked up some Vortex Viper Low 1" LW rings today and i will mount up a Vortex 4-12 scope on it and then weight it in - :) RJ
