Several years ago, Col. Craig Boddington wrote an article in a rifle magazine where he had a Winchester Model 88 in 358 Win customized by Rogue River Rifles, and they modified the recoil lug.

Just wondering if anyone recalls the magazine article, in particular, which magazine it was published in? And perhaps the month it was published?

I have been looking on-line for it, unsuccessfully so far...and Rogue River Rifles seems to have gone out of business. Any assistance would be appreciated!

I remember the article. From what I heard RRR is out of business.

Ditto. I believe this was the rifle.

Great article RJ as I have a model 100 in 243 and it is a White Tail Monster! I like the 88 but Uncle Arthur has kept me from getting 1 as after 32 years turning wrenches has done my right hand no favors! If it does not cycle like butter I will not get it!

Thanks Rem Jim.

Great article, but unfortunately no discussion on the recoil lug.

Still searching...

Must be some way of getting a message to Craig and just asking him. Just think as active as he is and the number of shows and sponsors he's involved with that he must be contactable.
