If the economy inproves and construction gets going again I will be looking at one pretty hard.
A 338 would fit real nice in my collection. Right know my largest rifle is a 30-06AI.
Nice rifle.
The new Winchesters are manufactured by FNH otherwise known as FN. They have been making guns for a long time. They made the Browning shotguns that everyone wants over in Belgum. I remember when they started producing Brownings in Japan. Everyone was %$#@ed
If you get sand or dirt on the lense try using a can of compressed air and a lense brush to remove the dirt first. Dirt and sand will scratch the coating even if its wet.
I have a couple of cameras and I use the same "cleaning kit" and methods on all my lenses.
A dirty lense is better than a...
I have had great results with mine. I did adjust the trigger, free float and bed the action.. I guess I do that to all of my rifles right out of the box with the exception of my NCR.
It also didn't take very long to find multiple loads that shot well. Maybe I'm lucky. I have spent way more time...
When you mount a scope with two piece bases (rear windage adjustable) you shoul center your windage adjustment on the scope first. Use a bore sight and adjust the windage on the base. This will allow maximum windage adjustment on your scope and also allign it with the bore.

I ended up loading 16.5 grs of IMR 4227 and 250gr jacketed bullets.
I shot two rounds to test my new firing pin but haven't got much farther that that. I have been very lazy lately and am enjoying it for once.
Overbore is when you have a very large case compared to the bore.
Lets say you took a 300 rem ultra mag and necked it down to a .223.
All the pressure and heat generated in the case eats the throat as the gasses excape the small neck of the case. The heat and pressure in the case gets restricted...
As long as you have release agent everywhere you should be ok.
Your screws should have only been snugged up, not tightened.
Did you apply release agent or grease to the screws?
Removing the action from the stock can be a little nerve racking the first time. I thought I epoxied mine in...
I had a supper shawdow in 243 WSSM and I think the difference between the black shawdow and the super was the stock.
I could be wrong though, it's been a while.
I also like 4831... H or IMR and RL-22. I have had very good results with RL-19 also. Some say that 4350 is the go to powder wich is very close to RL-19.
I am curious how it performs with the lighter bullets.
I think I will give it a try with the 120bt and maybe the 140bt/ab when it finally gets...
I was thinking that all of us conservatives could move to Pelosi and Reed's districts before the election for the sole purpose of voting them out!!!
I'm in Oregon so, I'll go to SanFrancisco.
Where would you like to re-locate and vote
