My dad shot a M20 Savage in .300 Savage, and one uncle also from his M99. I have owned both .300 Savage and .308 Win, and the Savage was the inspiration for the Army to develop the .308.
I would definitely hunt with one, we all shot the 180 gr loads.

There are many recommended cleaners. I have three different ML rifles that I decided to clean with different preparations: Ballistol (cut 50% with water); alcohol (also 50% water) and Gunzilla. Jury is still out...

Thanks for the bullet data, I used the 348 gr Powerbelt in Colorado before I got onto the Bullshop Bullets. I like the "heavy" part of ML bullets anyway. ;)

My M721 Rem started life as a .30-'06 but has been rebarreled to .280 Rem. I put it in a synthetic McM. M700 stock years ago. The M721 action tail piece sits up a bit, but you don't really notice. Some folks convert to Sako/M-16 extractors, but mine is still original.

As is usual with most things there is more to the warranty story. Leica is revising their warranties to comport with European Union regulations. Additionally the LRF warranty is limited by the electronics of the laser transmitter and receiver.
I am still running my CRF 1200 Leica rangefinder...
I hope shooters will be able to post that they are happy with Vortex's service, but that remains to be seen. I know what they say on their website, but electrons are cheap.
