I wish you all the best hunting and shooting, but I found out that my political beliefs are mostly not met here.
You will have your reasons, your local views and that is ok. I don't judge.
I hope you have a wonderful future with your CIC and I honestly hope that we will never have to look at...
Wow.
It is reaching a new low.
Can we agree that the shooter was an idiot from all the accumulated knowledge here? First for trying to shoot a president.
Second for not being able to.
I know we are hunters here. But would you have missed the shot? With all we could pack?
I hope he burns in...
Hi all,
Since I am an ocean away I don't comment anything or give an opinion.
But it seems to be heating up on your side.
Treats against the judge, calls for a million armed to march on Washington, ...
Whatever happens in the USA will have major influence on the whole world, so we watch with...
What do you think about that?
Yeah, if you don't train a wirehair right it will challenge you. I don't know her experience with dogs.
But shooting it without trying to fix him with external help?
Has a bad taste to me.
Writing it in a book even more so.

It was on Eastern Saturday 1982 that my Dad had to go.
He taught me the basics of fishing and shooting and then suddenly he was gone.
I still see him in my kids and when I look into the mirror.
42 years and he is still with me.
Eastern is not my favourite holiday...
I was 9 and I am sure we...
Jeeezzz.
I like to watch hunting videos.
I had Jack out the back suggested.
Camel culling in Australia. Ok. They call them pests.
Well. They were introduced by man and now challenge the cattle. Ok.
But how they shoot them with no regards them being living animals and a blatand lack of...
...or if in Germany,do as the Germans.
Since there are not just US and Canadian hunters on this forum, I thought we might take a look at hunting around the world.
So here comes Germany.
First, you need a hunting licence.
That means either 3 weeks full-time in a school, or more than 1/2 a year...
Just read that Trump wants to do it again.
I can understand you leaning to the Republicans.
But do you think he is the right one?
What other options are there (read about the guy from Florida...).
Just relying on international press it might seem he (Trump) didn't help much at the mid-terms...
My Ex-wife told me yesterday that she tore off her extractor with ammo I loaded years ago (we were still together back then, so no intension! Wouldn't do that at all, because I think even split up, the boys need both parents...).
The loads were not on the upper end and I have no idea what...
Wrote it in the elk thread:
As a man with not one, but two rifles (30-06 and 6,5 Creedmoor):
The cartridges vary widely through the "what have you taken XYZ with?":
What are your experiences? Going down to the 6,5 Swede for critters bigger than deer up to the really heavy hitters - did you see...
Hi Guy,
I just watched your video and since I only have a 30-06 and a 6,5 Creedmoor currently, I was very interested.
What you came up with is basically what I decided for myself. With our distances shorter than yours, I am quite sure the 6,5 does the job.
Still I use the 30-06 for driven hunts...
So it finally happened.
My boys (18 and almost 16) live with their mum.
The younger has a girlfriend now for a few months and this weekend, she stays with us.
What shall I say? Nice girl - optics and character.
And she shoots!!!!!
Took me back a few decades seeing them cuddle on the couch while...
Last week, I sized a bunch of 308 win brass.
Cleaned them, trimmed and wanted to go on.
Until I found what you see in the picture...
Now I size them full length again and repeat the process....
About 1 1/2 years ago I bought a very cheap Chinese whet tumbler.
Added some steel pins and went for it.
I would bet some money that few people would be able to see the difference between almost new and thoroughly used brass after a treatment. They come out all shiny like new.
This is just a...
Our season for roe deer and young red deer started first of April.
I was out a few times and saw some roe. But we are only allowed to shot 1 year old bucks this year and until May 15th 1 year old does.
I saw a few good bucks - but our three year limit for older bucks was reached last year. No...
Hi fellas,
I guess the thread fits here...
I played with Streloc Pro a bit and according to the app, for my rifle, zeroed at 100 m, the difference in drop would be four clicks (1/4 moa) @200 meters between no wind and 5m/s (~15 FPS) from a right angle. Is that realistic?
I'm in need of some input.
I hunt in northern Germany. Our hunting seasons are quite long, in some cases from April to January with many species overlapping during that time.
We hunt smal roe deer, boar, some fallow deer and red stag.
So from 30-250 lbs field dressed. I started with a 30-06 in...
Last weekend we visited a friend for some hunting.
We - that is my former boss with whom I did the hunting licence together, a friend one who's lease I regularly hunt, my girlfriend (aka my Home-Boss) and or host - the son of my first boss. So lot's of boss stuff around ;-)
My girlfriend has a...
I am not allowed to hunt with it over here, but I am going to build one. Actually, I have two prototypes for the launcher that need fine-tuning and different spears. Well. They are not spears, yet.
Got a bunch of full-length turkey feathers and my fletching tool is ready to go.
Ordered some...
