to lube or how to lube?

Tried a search but couldn't find anything. I have about 40 once fired brass out of my 300 win mag and I want to neck size only. Should I lube the whole case as usual or is there another way to lube the brass specificaly for neck sizing... Thanks in advance! Mike B

    pet load?

Thanks Doc, I do take alot of pride in my handloading. I'm soooo "anal" with every step in the process and spend so much time, like 4 or 5 days to load 50 rounds, it pisses me off when I get to the range and they don't shoot for crap. Thanks guys for the kind words.

    pet load?

That was my problem. I was trying to put my bullets as close as possible all the time. I guess some bullets or rifles, work best with a little jump.

    pet load?

Thanks man, yep, 308 win but sierra says 2600 fps for the charge I'm using. Dude, I was more tense on the 5th shot than when I passed my kidney stone...

    pet load?

Took me almost a year of bullets and powders and ocl and primers etc... I'm not trying to show off here but rather, I'm trying to show never to give up and get discouraged. After a while, I wanted to sell my rig but decided to keep at it and finally got on the right track.

    pet load?

1 3/8 inches (5 shots), 5/8 inch (first 4 shots) at 200 yards. Shot from a Sako 85 varmint laminated stainless with VX3 target 6.5X20/50mm. Out of four 5 shot groups, this was the smallest and the largest was 1 3/4 inches.

    long range hunting rifle?

Ok, I've been waiting for my Sako hunter laminated in 300 win. magnum since Octobre 2010 and it doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon. So I've decided to cancel the order. Now I'm looking into a long range hunting rifle in the same calibre. What do you guys think of these choices, Remington...

    action screws??

Thanks again, you guys ROCK! This is the first place I come to for any kind of firearm info. Ok, I made a few calls since I posted this thread, that's right, I called Sako Finland. Can't wait to see the bill on that call... :( Anyways, I spoke to a tech that spoke "FINGLISH" and he told me the...

BK, I'm going to do windage and elevation. A little too far for me to walk it over from Montreal, so the damn shipping + insurance is nailing me for 29.95 one way... BLAH!!!!

    Which scope on which rifle??

Thanks for the advice guys! I just bought a FAT torque wrench and changing the scope tonight. I did however send my 4.5X14 to Leupold to install a set of M1 dials, probably don't really need them, but much better than what's on there right now...

    Which scope on which rifle??

I currently have a Sako 85 varmint stainless fluted in 308 winchester that is toped with a Leupold VX3 LR 4.5X14 50mm. I have a Sako 85 grey wolf in 300 winchester magnum coming this fall and for it, I purchased a Leupold VX3 LR 6.5X20 50mm target with varmint reticle. I use my 308 winchester...

    45-70 300gr. BST?

I was just wondering what the reloading data would be for this particular bullet. Would it be the same as the 300gr. protected point partition?

    45-70 OCL?

Thanks, you're right about the Hornady 350 round nose being made for the 458 magnum, I believe the only problem if it's a problem is bullet expansion at the 45-70 velocities. I will place an order for both the partition and CT round nose in 300gr and hope for the best. What propellant are you...
