Start by altering powder charges methodically to find a load that is decent. Then do the tweaking of the COL to wring the best out of that load that showed potential. Just picking a charge and hoping that it will eventually work with some COL risks wasting a lot of effort.

The best load looks to be 59-63 gr of Big Game for 2922 fps. Second choice would be 60.5-64.5 gr of H4350 for 2925 fps.
I've tried H4350 with various 200s. Good choice in my rifle - I am able to hit 2900 fps with good accuracy. Someday I'll have...
The accuracy aspect will be dictated by the individual rifle more than the cartridge.
In a Tikka T-3 I would not get a WSM as the action they use is the same length as for the 300Win. If not getting a short-action gun, I would not get a short-action cartridge. The 300WM will be better...
No, the Solid Base is not constructed like the Partition. It is constructed internally more like a Ballistic Tip but without the plastic tip so it does not have the too-quick-opening issue that some find with BTips. It is a great deer bullet but would not be my top choice for elk - stay with...
I bought a bunch of the Solid Base bullets since these are excellent prices. I am not one to quibble over shipping charges though I agree it would be nice to be able to purchase from the seconds shop on the same order as for the regular items.
I am wondering why the big discount? Are the Solid...
3100 fps can be reached with Magpro. Charges run from 63 to 70 grains though I find 69.6 is max and gives me 3076 fps. I normally load closer to 3000 fps as I find better accuracy at that level - using IMR4350 (charges run 56 to 58 grains).
You can consider yourself an ethical hunter all you want - you're entitled to your delusion. Those who would shoot at game at long range are not hunters - they are detriments to hunting. Not sportsmen, not hunters. Just boys who like playing with toys.
That web site is for people who have no...
Nosler data normally includes all their bullets of the same weight as being the same so a 200 gr Accubond can be loaded with the same data as a 200 gr Partition. But no matter what the bullet, you have to start with the "start" load (the lightest charge given) and work up towards the max. load...
You can - as long as you start with "Start" loads and work up. I've found the Accubond and Partition to end up at virtually the same charges in my rifle.
I have the CED Millenium. Bought it from the site linked above.
Later added the IR since the lighting conditions are difficult where I shoot.
It's a breeze to use. The big LED is super.
If aperson can afford an Oehler, they make sense. For those with a lower budget, the CED is a good...
IMR's web site has the 25WSSM now:
http://www.imrpowder.com/data/rifle/25wssm.php
As for the 243WSSM and IMR powders, Hornady's Sixth lists I4350 and I4831 for 95-100 gr bullets.
