140 Swift A-Frame

Shot from a 7mm-08 with a velocity of 2780 fps, into water jugs at 50 yards. The bullet was found in the 6th jug. Retained weight was 139.4 grains :shock: . Diameter is .608. The most perfect mushroom I have ever seen. Now I know why I have never found one of these in the elk taken with it!

That is definitely a good looking mushroom. No doubt about it, the A-Frame is a tough bullet, capable of punching above its weight.

I'm sure every A-frame doesn't maintain 100% weight retention, but think about how much further smaller bullets will travel when you keep that much weight intact.
