Would some one please tell me the difference between the 140 and 150gn BTs, other than ten grains. In my limited experience it seems to be a bit tougher or have a thicker jacket. Anyones experiences at 7x57 and 280 speeds are appreciated. Thanks, capt david

I have used the 150 in a 280 and several 7mmMags. Taken whitetails and hogs without a problem. Can't address the jacket thickness but can say they work quite well.Rick.

Nada. They are both kick azz slugs! Very tough.

They're both fine for the 280 and the 7X57 speed. I load them on my 280 Remington and they both shoot accurately although, I prefered the 150 over the 140 because of the slightly higher B.C. Ballistic Tips are deadly on deer size animal. With 280 you can push the 150 at around 2900 fps and up to 3000 fps with the 140. You can probably expect a 100 to 150 fps drop in velocity if you use them on 7X57 Mauser. You can't do wrong with either bullet! which ever you choose.

For the 7x57, I'd go with the 140 to keep the velocity up...that 2900, 3000+ range seem to be where ther BT's giver you that wicked expansion.

I use the 140 BT in both my 7X57's and a 7mm/08.They preform great on deer sized game.
