Today while walking through my favorite reloading shop i found these curious pills sitting on the shelf.I am going to load them in my .300RUM with Retumbo powder to see how they perform out to 1,000yds.
Has anybody used any of these? is the stated BC close to what is advertised or is it off? i have shot the regular 200gr Accubonds for a few years now and love them. they perform great on elk and mule deer out to my furthest shot to date of 623yds.
Hoping that these LRAB's will perform as well or better.
I'm thinking with 93gr of Retumbo i should be able to push these around 3200fps maybe a tad faster with great accuracy.
Has anybody used these?

Welcome aboard; always glad to see another individual posting here. I haven't found any of the 190 grain LRAB yet. I anticipate that you will be pleased with the performance you see. You should be able to go considerably stiffer on your charge, Here's a QL projection that will suggest what you might anticipate.

Code:
Cartridge : .300 Rem Ultra Mag
Bullet : .308, 190, Nosler AccuBond LR 58456 G7
Useable Case Capaci: 99.971 grain H2O = 6.491 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.598 inch = 91.39 mm
Barrel Length : 26.0 inch = 660.4 mm

I just located a box of long range Accubonds for my 6.5x284. I'm in hopes I can locate more.

I would make sure they stabilize well in your twist before I bought a bunch but if you are lucky enough to find any I know how hard it would be from buying them all ? Bryan Litz has finished his test on all the Nosler ABLR's and has found a few do not stabilize dependent on they barrel twist rates used! You can use this to find out as that is what Bryan used and he has his info posted over on The Snipers Hide as he has found some of the BC's to not be spot on ?

1-9 twist he says is marginal but it's probably not a big issue ? Every tube will do what it wants!
Thread is called Nosler LRAB BC test !

I think they 190's should work fine but 210's would be marginal per his tests but I will try them if any are ever produced!

Thanks for the Load data.will be interesting to see how they perform. when i load these up i will post the data.

loaded yesterday 2 loads.
Retumbo used in both. 3.700 wlrm primers. not the best but its what i have.
93 grains got me 3150fps with an ES of 14 group of 2.1 moa
94 grains got me 3144 with ES of 10 and a group of 2.6 moa.

not sure f the are not.stabalizing but those groups need to.shrink a ton with my next few loads in order for me to continue.
ill try the 210gr as well when they show up.

Thanks for the insightful post and link, you probably saved me some coin and frustration.
Thought about trying these in a T-3 super light '06. Twist is 1/11...... After running the calc. I think its likely a non-starter...........

LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tell you it's nice to know that people like Bryan are around to save us a few bucks and I suppose not too many people posses his knowledge on Ballistics and he did find a few BC's that were a tad off which when mixed with the wrong twist barrel will cause stability issues per his tests! Sinclair actually sell's bullet samples but of course finding any of them is stock will be hard but the idea is better than buying a box that will set around till ya get a barrel that will shoot them or have to find someone that can use them! The 190's I think will work well in my Mark V 300 Win Mag as it's going to be really close to 3000 fps!
