Back when i was employed deep in the industry I recall the meeting about moving to 50 per box from my Nosler Rep...

Never....

It went from we'll see how it goes to never going back. ..
They got worried about price so it was enacted to help customer perception of price...
and ultimately helped them with production too.

They got worried about price so it was enacted to help customer perception of price...
and ultimately helped them with production too.

I see this in the wine and spirits industry all the time. Cutting the pack size, allows for more latitude with price increases and less push back from wholesalers. I know this is comparing apples and oranges, but the principle is the same. Imagine convincing consumers to spend three digits for 100 ct boxes. $75 for 50ct gives a different perception.
