225 TTSX and the 340 Wby

I haven't messed with any 225's in my current 338. Hard to find many of the ones I want right now. Had decent results with the 225 TSX in the Whelen, but switched back to Nosler's. I would like to try some 225 AB's or PT's when they list them as 2nds again. Been a long time since I have seen them. Seems the 225 is just about the perfect "tweener" bullet for the 338's. I don't think it is any big trick to get mid 2800's with the 225's in the Win Mag and the BC and energy is much better with them than the 210 PT.

My thoughts exactly. A 225 AccuBond scooting along at mid 2800's with a BC .550 would get it done in a 338 win mag in fine fashion with room to spare.

The TTSX 225 caught my eye with a BC of .514 and virtually 100% weight retention no matter what the shot angle is, and some times it's far from a perfect angle.

Haven't messed with them in awhile Bill, might have to take a look at them.
