I just picked a up a Remington Model 700 Classic and am wondering what loads others are using for 100 grain bullets. Thanks,John

Cloverleaf will be along before too long with some ideas. A great little cartridge that has been neglected, unfortunately.

Cool grab. I've seen a few of them and have always thought it would be sweet to have for deer hunting. With Savage chambering them, I just may look at one to fill the 25 cal gap I have!

HMMM.....so they know me 'round here?!?! :) Very Cool Congrats on the new rifle! One of them could almost make me buy a remington  . Easy boys....just kidding.....
I assume your remmington is a 1:10 so I'll just give ya my run down. Sorry Im lazy and I dont have C.O.L. for these loads.

You asked for 100 Gr so here's what Ive tried:
-100 gr BT over 38 Gr. of 4350 (not the fastest load in the book but an honest "cloverleaf" group.I tried 40 Grains but the groups blew up.
-100 Gr BT over 35 Gr. of 4064 is quicker, according to the book and almost as accurate. It is a load that the guys at "The Gunstop" put me on to. Lots of knowlege there- check there web site.
-I also had good luck with the old 90 Grain Barnes "X" bullet over 41 Grains of 4350.
-Dont remember the charge but 85 Gr CT's also shot real well.
-Best groups have always come from the 75 Grain V-Max ( sorry Nosler) over 40 Grains of 4350. three shots easy in 3/4 inch real regular.

There a lots of other things (powder in particular) that I havent tried. Dad helps me with the reloading and he settled on 130 Gr, speers and H 4350 for his 7Mag years ago. It works and he sees no reason to change. :) so I use a lot of 4350 and his old speer manual too. Far as that goes....it works for me too. Let me know what develops! CL

The pics below dont do the rifle or loads justice. I'm getting poor eye sight and a bad shoulder in my old age.

Incidentally, dont let anybody kid you the 250 and a 100 gr BT is deadly.
(Gee I get to post that pic again)
A through shot at 264 yds.
