270/150gr ABLR

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with 150gr ABLR in 270? I've been using 140gr AB or 140gr TSX.

Tom, I had some decent luck with the 270WSM and the 150 ABLR. In my rifle, they liked being seated pretty deeply. I had my best luck from .075 and back. Same for the 7mm WSM. I had 0 luck with the 210 ABLR's and the 300 Weatherby which was odd to me as I figured all of the freebore would have made them really tick.

My son stole the scope off my 270 WSM.... Now I'm not sure what I wanna put back on it. It's killing me sitting without a scope though. That rifle was zeroed and ready to hunt for about 10 years...

I have not tested this bullet enough to have exact data but...
Lilja 27" barrel, 270W 1.10 twist, Powder Reloader 22, 58 grains col:85,99mm
I use Shooter balistic app.
Dialed inn:
G7 BC: 0.317
Station Pressure (1004hPa)
Temp. (-3C)
Zero range speed and distance (600m- 935m/s)

Calculate- 31 clicks = hit low (30cm)

Corrected ?3 clicks = center hit

If I use G7 BC = 0.280 shooter give 34 clicks to 600m

600m, the "Genreal" is d= 75mm, 8 shots 2x4

1. Speed- cronograph at 100 and 300m
2. Bullet drop 100 - 300m

You are correct! The other end of Norway, though. My family came from a farm east and south of Bergen.

I started at .050 off the lands with the 150gr ABLR and .060 is shooting pretty good. 270 got Lilja sporter barrel @ 24.5" long and been shooting 3 shot groups, they been around 1/2" @ 100yds.

These are couple loads been playing with.

55gr/H-4831 @ 2920fps
52gr/H-4350 @ 2881fps

I've also been shooting some 150gr ABLR in one of the 280AI and that one got 25" Kreiger barrel and I'm .070 of the lands and best load so far been 61gr/H-4831 @ 3082fps. I'm pretty long throated in other 280AI with 27" barrel so may try some 175gr ABLR.

Those sound like great loads. 270 with a 150 at 2900 is a pretty cool combo, same ballistics as a 300 mag and a 200... Little lighter on the shoulder.

Those sound very good, load development done on both the 270 and 280 AI by the looks of it.
