So I got a bunch of Hammer's to try out. The 300 RUM has been a pretty easy one for the most part. I decided to use H1000 and CCI250's for this project.
It was my first foray into this bullet and cartridge and they don't seem to typically track with data from other weights of bullets.
So I gradually kept inching up till I was start to see some consistency in the numbers. All of them seemed to be trending to 2-1 shot. So I shortened them .020" tried 96 and 97 grains.
96
97
I can't swear to it, but I think I moved that one out of the group.
Anyhow, I loaded up 96-96.5-97 for the next range session.
This is the first rifle I am getting close with the Hammers. They seem to shoot pretty easily though. I should get out in the next week or so to shoot the others, but I could be okay with the 189's at 3300'ish.
