7mm-08 for the wife's hunting

I know I'm late on the conversation. I think the 7mm-08 is a great caliber and very underrated! Loaded with a 140 gr AB I wouldn't hesitate using it for elk and moose out to 250 yards! Loaded with a 120 gr BT, it would be the goods for coyote hunting!

And I might add that since I put an Air Tech recoil pad on the M77, it transformed from a really nice shooting rifle, into a Sa'Weeeeet shooter !

I don't own a 7-08 yet :( but do use a few 7x57s that I load to 7-08 levels. I just snagged a super deal on some 150 gr. Nobler Partitions so will see how the rifles like that bullet. I figure if I can get an honest 2700 FPS or more with reasonable accuracy, that'll be the one I take on my Dec 31-New Years Day elk hunt. Great way to start out the new year. Other bullet I'll be looking at is the 140 gr. TSX but so far accuracy has
not been all that good and I am a bit leery if only a 300 yard plus shot shows up. As usual, I'll take the .35 Whelen as a back up gun. 8)
