Any suggestions for loading 150 gr Ballistic tips and Partitions in the 7x57 with H4350? I plan on using either WLR or CCI 200 primers in Federal or Remington cases.
Sounds like you have done some research. IS it a Mauser rifle??? if it is remember if it is a a smallring rifle the pressures are lower. I'd be loading the same (only with IMR 4350) if my rifle stock had not broken.
Mine's a large ring Mauser and likes 42.5 grains of H4350 behind a 140 gr Nosler BT, and CCI 200 primers. Not the fastest, but good groups.
Always work up slowly.
150PT, 48.5gn H4350, CCI 200, RP brass. It shoots around 2700fps. It''s my go to deer/pig load. The PT opens fast enough on heart/lung deer and will penetrate both shoulders of a big pig if needed. I'd use the BT if only hunting deer. capt david
