Has anyone here done this? I am attempting to add this cartridge to my QL database to help another shooter out. I managed to get the cartridge added, but I am VERY reluctant to pass any QL results on to the guy because I am not absolutely sure that I have the cartridge dimensions correct. Here's what I have so far:
I think the case water capacity will be a bit more, but as a safety margin I'll just work with the straight-up .284 Winchester capacity. I am not so confident with the other dimensions which I derived using a few assumptions. I do not have a .338-284 die or a .38-284 case to work with.
Does anyone have this stuff worked out and verified, or an authoritative source for the correct dimensions?
