Wow, 4 almost identical peels. From the shape of the ends, It looks like the initial rupture was about 4" short of the muzzle end (probably about where the bullet struck the boresighter and expanded, sealing the bore). One would think that the peels would follow the spiral of the rifling back from there, since the grooves would be the weakest parts of the barrel. But the peel edges are amazingly straight. Great pictures!
