Announcing Varmageddon!

A couple of questions:

First, aside from the hollow point bullets, how are they different than the existing Ballistic Tip Varmints, other than tip color?
Second, will Nosler be making .17 Remington brass? (Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!)

Nosler is pleased to announce the release of our new Varmageddon line of component bullets and loaded ammunition. Varmageddon is designed for the high-volume varmint shooter looking for legendary Nosler quality and accuracy. See the link below for all of the details.

Very nice Mason! Man, just when I think Nosler has slowed down! Great job- Now go get us some more PT's and AB's in the 35's!!! Great work. Can't wait to try some of them a try in the 243 or 22-250! Scotty

BK- Yes, we will be making 17 Rem Brass. The biggest difference between these and our BT Varmint bullets will be the flat base and the fact that they will be sold at a lower price point.

Cloverleaf- Unfortunately no .25's at this time.

Corbin- Bullets will be available from MidwayUSA in November.

...no love for the "Quarterbore"...

True, sadly, true. Just check the available bullets made by anyone...if all cartridges were named according to their decimal equivalent, it would be interesting. We go from .223/4 to .243/4, a .020 jump. Then .243/4 to .257, a .014 jump. .257 to .264-- only .007. Then .264 to .277 - .013 diff. .277 to .284, again only .007. Then .284 to .308, a .024 leap. That's just they way they evolved, not much logic. We ought to have a .233, an actual .250, a .292, and a true .300 to fill the gaps  Not likely.

We need a marketing genius to come up with a catchy name and a list of sponsored gun writers for a new quarter bore, then we might get new bullets! 25 QBM or something maybe.

So wheres the 75 Gr bullet in .25 Cal.? CL

Where is the 75 gr bullet in .243? needs something with good B.C. and a little more weight for yote's. The 75 gr V-max has no serious challengers yet.

The HP and Tipped versions will both expand/fragment very rapidly and violently.

No plans for the .308 as of yet, but that doesn't mean we won't consider it.

Just was wondering why no 50 gr Varmageddon for the .223? Did Nosler contract to sell all the 50 gr production to ATK for the Federal American Eagle AR 223 LCT ammo (Varmint Tipped?) I was just wondering since the Federal 50 gr Tipped AR 223 bullets sure look a lot like the 55 gr Varmageddon bullets I recently purchased, and was surprised that Nosler only offers the 40 and 55 gr versions. Any plans to expand the Varmageddon line to inclued 50 gr tipped bullets in .22 cal?

Not sure where to ask this but since it's Varmaggedon related, thought I'd try here.

What's the story on the 62gr hp varmaggedon's- are they still being produced, discontinued, being made on limited/seasonal runs? Been waiting and searching online for some time to replenish the stock.

Thanks in advance.
