Hi fellas, I'm buying another Sako 85 in 300 win mag, I'm having a hard time deciding on either the laminated stainless, or another Bavarian, which one would you choose?

Thanks,
Lou (y)

The SS in 300 WM would be tough to beat for an all around do all rifle.

I do like wood; but laminates are stronger. Still, given the choice, I'll almost always go with the warmth of wood.

Those Bavarians sure are nice Lou.

Yah Scotty, I like em (y) ..being oil finished, and little scratches/nicks are easy to touch up too, I got one ore two while in Newfoundland pal, a damp cloth and iron fixed that real fast, some 0000 steel wool and rubbed in some tung oil, looks like nothing was ever harmed

Lou, you have two wood stock rifles  if you get a SS with a laminate stock you then will have a all season rifle as a complement to your two Bavarians :). But a third Bavarian would be nice as well !

Blessings,
Dan

Any model Sako 85 would be nice but I am particular towards the Bavarian. Mine is the Hunter Walnut.

As much as I lust over walnut I appreciate the functionality of laminates and synthetics.

LS model gets my vote........love that Greywolf. I have a few in the m75 in my collection.

Love my first Sako that I bought new back in 1997-Sako m75ss 300WM - still my main rifle today.
