I just got back a couple of days ago from visiting family in Alberta, while we were there we saw 3 beautiful antelope on the side of the road. I have always wanted to hunt for them and was wondering where would be a good place to hunt and how much do the hunts go for usually. In Alberta non residents can hunt for them but it can take a long time to draw a tag it may just be easier to hunt somewhere in the northern U.S. and drive down there.

Gerry,

They are a beautiful animal. I am looking forward to my WY hunt the end of Sept.
I would say your best bet would be WY.

You will have fun, looking forward to seeing how things turn out for you.

Gerry,

I've got a standing invitation from some people down in WY to hunt antelope. Let's work together to work through the plan. We have to work with HS to transport rifles and ammunition into the states, but it is not an impossible task, I'm certain.

Mike,

What part of WY are you looking at?
I am using a guide service in Cheyenne. Great hunting and awesome hospitality with Greek culture. It doesn't get any better.

I'd almost bet a guy could borrow a rifle over on this side of the border too, and avoid any border issues.

It used to be so simple to cross to and from Canada with a rifle & ammo. Sigh...

Very interesting, we should check what it would take to make it happen and start saving some money, in my case anyway :)

Let's talk, Gerry. I'll lean on Scotty to lend me his 264 Win. Fotis has an antelope rifle that we may be able to talk him out of (30-378?) .

Scotty's 264 has been asking to go antelope hunting that's very kind of you to help him out like that.

Without a doubt! You tell me where it needs to be, and I will make sure it gets there for you. It would be my pleasure, although, I would be a little jealous if I weren't actually in pronghorn camp with you all too! Your right though, the 264 screams pronghorn!

Mike if your coming through Montana you can use my 6.5_284 see makeover in rifles this has proven dope cards your more than welcome to use it.

You guys are making it hard to resist; the draw toward a WY antelope hunt is intensifying. Do you feel it, Gerry?

Yes, we need to make it happen in the next couple of years. Would be really neat to see a few of you guys in person too.

I won't let Gerry rest on this, Scotty. I'll be ragging on him. My biggest concern is that Dan will twig onto this thread, and then, who knows?
