Bertram Brass and an orange hue?

I received some 7mmWSM brass from down under this fall. Last night I started prepping 20 of them for a new load. They had a bit of an orange hue before I tumbled them (wet, w/ Lemi-Shine and Dawn). When they dried the orange hue was gone, but orange was now quite distinct in the crevasses and inside neck. Is this oxidation? Is Aussie brass composed different? Any metallurgists out there to tell me what's going on?

My 340 Wby brass was the same way. I wrote it off as something added to their final rinse.
Years back I tried ultrasonic cleaning with a vinegar solution and when left too long the brass would get that pewter color.

I've had Remington brass look like that. Probably from cleaning during its manufacturing process.
