Brian Pearce on Single Action Revolvers

Makes me wish I had gotten a Freedom Arms in 41 Rem Mag!
Was one of those "one day" items...
Maybe one day we'll have a government that will allow us to again purchase handguns...
Then I'll be after one!

While I cannot hunt with them, I do enjoy owning the two Ruger NMBHs I have in 41 Rem Mag. One in blued and one in SS, and both with 4 5/8" barrels.

Boy, that was just a start to rabbit hole to distract me at work. haha
Thanks guy!

Even though I only have 2 at the moment I am still a single action fan. Some things I just do best with the old single action.
I have my old (1979) Super Blackhawk Ruger with the 7.5" barrel. The .44 mag. is poison on hogs down in the palmetto thickets.
And mostly for practice a Ruger single six convertible (22 mag cylinder), stainless steel, 6" barrel. Close but not quite the same feel as the SBH.

Don't have a Ruger Colt 45 but did get rid of my Glocks.

I snagged a New Model .45 Colt with a 4-5/8" barrel a while back. It shot quite well actually, but the first time I cleaned it I noticed there were tight spots with a clean dry patch about every half inch. Looking through a bore scope confirmed my suspicions...I have NO idea what the source of the bore damage was. I contacted Ruger and they rebarreled it for me, no charge. It shoots like this if I do my part:
