Canada have some new laws coming?

Unfortunately, it appears to be true. After the government crushed the truckers this past winter, there is certain to be discontent. Canada is ruled by the few major cities which are liberal and Liberal (i.e. socialistic and increasingly vote socialistic). It is possible that the next election will see Conservatives voted in, but that election is up to four years away. Handguns and scary rifles are under assault.
 
Good grief. We have to fight this the best way we can find. I hope that I can become a gunsmith someday in the future and do whatever I am able to support our unalienable, God given rights.

Biden would like to ban all guns! I don’t think they have any chance going after 9mm. The left is already looking at getting seriously trounced in the med term elections, gun control has always been a losing issue for the left. Look at what the last “assault weapon” ban did to the Democratic Party.

Canada I’m afraid has proven they can do pretty much whatever they want and no one can stop them. The fiasco with the truckers just proved that they have total control in Canada.

Maybe you gun guys in Canada can claim asylum and move the the US.

DrMike has summed it up very well. Not sure yet whether it will have any effect on us personally, as we are presently able to carry via "wilderness" . We are also under attack form the ones DrMike mentioned "Big Cities" to ban grizzly hunting

In the U.S. the school shooting will have an impact on AR's I am afraid. Your "White House" seem to "clarify" what your president said about 9mm's. It seems like they "clarify" his statements often --but, we ( at least me anyway) are not that happy with our guy either

The current administration is sinking in the poles. News says 33% approval but we all know that the fake news is inflating that number. I'm guessing it's sub 20% approval which make this the worst administration in the history of our country. Banning AR-15's will lead to AR-10's and 9mm will lead to all handguns. Don't see how that will happen anytime soon.

Luckily yes, with literally millions of of ARs in civilians hands, it would be very difficult to ban them at this time, even with such a corrupt administration. Especially considering there are still people in our country who would use their weapons to defend their rights. Not fun to think about, but it is the reason we bear arms, to protect our right to bear arms, especially from the government.

You mean it isn't just for hunting? Thats what they're trying to convience us of. Sadly theres a bunch of people out there that believe the narrative. For that matter they believe all the falsehoods they spout about guns. I do believe, if able, this administration would follow suit with Canada. My hope for my firends up north is that the next election cycle will correct course. I'm all but certain the midterms in the US will be an utter disaster for the Dems. The moderate dems and independants have to be shaking their heads in disbelief. If you woke up today from a 10 year coma, and looked around the US, you would swear it was some elaborate prank.
 
It really would have been nothing more effective than a prank except that so many people are ignorant and disillusioned. I am an amateur singer songwriter, I do it as a hobby, and I wrote a song that has some lines describing how I view current society;

"The snare of the spellbound strives to capture ruined souls
The walls built around you keep you safe here or so you have been told
Fear of the unknown keeps you knowing you are blind
But is there a comfort in locks, bars and chains that ever bind"

So many people fall right into a trap of thinking whatever they are told, and most of the information in the world is lies. You have to learn to recognize truth, but it takes an honesty that most aren't willing to have with themselves.

So many times in history statements like that have been made, and how has that worked out.... cant think of one good outcome. Why are our politicians always a choice between the less of two evils? Sorry I'd been avoiding this thread because nothing good comes of it.... CL

Covid , defund the cops, and the crime rate have non-shooter general population types buying guns, mostly 9mm handguns, at an unprecedented rate. How do you go forward with a policy that tells the genpop that we can't protect ourselves when you handcuff the cops.

With 393 million firearms in the civilian sector, not much can be done.
