280 Remington- working on that one
30-06

I'd have a .280 on mine, but since I don't have one, I guess it doesn't really count.

22 LR
30-06
45 ACP
12 Ga

I could have thrown my 280 in the mix but , with the long list of 30 cal projectiles available I think the old '06 is just a tad more versatile.

Well Kurt you know I sold mine a couple of years back or so and NEED to replace it. That is why it is on the list of "working on one".

.22 LR
.12 ga

In Rifles the list would go like this:

.22 LR
.223 Remington
.243 Winchester
.30-06 Springfield

In handguns the list would go like this:

.22 LR
.223 Remington (T/C Contender Handgun)
.30-30 Winchester or .30-30 Ackley Improved (T/C Contender Handgun)
9mm
.44 Remington Magnum
.45 ACP

I know, man. I so badly want to find one of the old school wood stocked 700 BDL Mountain Rifles!

My short list is 280 AI and 338 RUM.

Long list additions...

22 LR
22-250
257 Roberts
35 Whelen
45-70

JD338

That is a very nice looking .280. Wow! IdahoCTD is showing the generosity for which this forum is noted.

That is exactly the one I had. It had been glass bedded, the trigger set perfectly by a fine gunsmith at 3#, and wore a 6x42mm Leupold scope. Keeping the barrel cool between shots, and 3/4" groups were the norm at 100 yards.  :x  I think I need a good talking to!

That's a good looking 280! Man, I can't believe you haven't gotten it yet David? Man....

Traded a perfectly good 700 for a Winchester? What were you thinking? :)
