Case capacity?

Would it be normal to see varying case capacity in cases from the same manufacturer even with different headstamps and from different lots?

The simple answer is "Yes." Lot-to-lot variations can be pronounced at times.

Yes for sure. Weigh cases after firing, Tare weight, add water. You should be able to grade your cases by volume.

One example is the Hornady 6.8 cases . Some are made by Hornady and have 6.8 while some are made by S&B and have 6,8 on the head . The S&B cases have more volume .
