I could get spoiled on this shotgun thing... Cleaning a chrome lined shotgun makes cleaning a rifle seem like a real chore!!!

A few passes with a bore snake and some CLP or MPro7 and its a done deal.

I never liked the idea of a bore snake for rifles, but it seems to be the ticket for smooth bores.

Yup. A couple of swipes of the barrels, a general wipe down, and all is well.

So simple!

I use a one piece rod with a Bore Tec jag, patches, and a bronze brush. Shooters Choice Shotgun Cleaner, and Clenzoil (for cleaning & protection).

You be amazed at the fowling the jag/solvent will get out of a clean looking barrel, run the brush through it and more fowling comes out.

WD40 is a good cleaner as well it has naphtha in it as does the SCSGC and that melts plastic wad fowling.
