I am not a Nosler fanatic but if that is what they say then that means they are using a special loading technique or powder. Maybe Nosle or someone who has chronoed it ca tell us.
This might be more doable then you think.
My book shows 150g bullet with 47gr of RL-15 leaving the barrel at 2919fps out of a 24" tube and Rem cases. Digging around in some of my old chrony records, I found some interesting that was supported in another thread. We shot two almost identical loads out of the same gun on the same day. One with Noslers, the other with Sierra's. The Noslers shot 125fps faster.
So, start at 2919, add 125fps for the Nosler bullet, another 50-75 for an extra two inches of barrel, and of course that thick Nosler brass....If I had a 26" barreled .308, I think I could do it.
I'm getting 2980 with a 155 gr Nosler competition bullet from my .308 Win. Of course that's with a 30" barrel... Not a max load though - quite a bit under Nosler's recommended maximum load.
The same load from my 24" barrel rifle only generates about 2850 fps though.
