I just posted a couple more Speer Deepcurl test.

.308 165gr @40yds

.284 160gr @ 300yds

Enjoy

Thanks for the work. They both look great. I wish they would start stoking up the furnaces and get their production lines moving. I never see the Deep Curls available anywhere.

It looks like they've focused on the heavier weights for each caliber size. I'm thinking that due to their excellent expansion they need to offset the friction that huge surface area creates by keeping them heavy.

A 225gr bullet in .358 would be like cheesecake in my eyes.

You aren't kidding!

Great testing Double D.. I am liking your tests. Very informative. Need to try some of the others some time.

Thanks for the test, they look great.
Different caliber but I may have to try the 150 DC in my 270 WSM

The .277 / 150gr was the first ones I tries, also out of a 270wsm. I have the results posted, and they are just like all the others.

I have shot these deepcurls at 40/130/300 yds.....and they have all looked perfect. Next time I make it out, I am going to try and catch one at 400yds, but I am not sure I can make it happen.

I saw your test, thank you. That's why I want to try them out.
Just need to see if my rifle likes them

I might give the 165 gr a try in my 308 Sako Finnwolf. What is accuracy like compared to say the BT's?

Thanks for the test, looks great! Im currently working with the 120gr Deepcurls in my 25.06 and have a decent load but it still needs some tweeking. Im maxed out on the charge so im gonna start playing with the seating depth when i get a chance to get back on the bench and see what happens. Mike

I have had no trouble getting them to shoot accurately

Nice job.
Good luck on the 400 yd test. Make sure the jugs are lined up perfectly. :)
