I have been interested in a new Kimber for a couple of months nowl. The two that I have handled have had somewhat less than crisp triggers. Is this common or a fluke? I don't know anyone who actually has one that I can ask. Any input from anyone out there would help. Thanks.

Mine has the best factory trigger of any hunting rifle I`ve tried. ~3# pull and crisp with no noticable overtravel right off the shelf.
There are better triggers out there but they`ve been reworked or are after market IMHO. BTW Kimber triggers are adjustable if you`re not happy with them.

The weight of the triggers were not that bad, just the dragging of the trigger as you pull on it. Other than having someone actually work on the trigger, if the one I buy is similar, can that be adjusted out?

Three of the four new Kimber rifles that I have got since 10/03 have excellent triggers. All of these are 84M's. The 8400's trigger has a slight creep even though I shortened the engagement and lightened the pull. I also lubricated the sear with moly powder.

The 8400's trigger is good enough for big game hunting but I may do something about it down the road. In general Kimbers have excellent easily adjustable triggers.
