I have to say, there is a definate difference in recoil with the .257 between the tuperware stock and the laminated stock. Sure hope I can get it to shoot again -

This is the best the .300 has ever shot, but I've never used any 7828 through it. It's always shot better on the lower end of the charge weight with about any powder, so I'm not surprised this powder works. Hopefully I can stick with it for the Bee and buy it in 8lb containers and save a few bucks.

Almost gotta yote with the combine last night, does that count as fair chase? I was chasing him down the row in the center of the header... Funny how they know you cant get em...

6mm Remington: I just loaded some 90 gr. E-Tips for my son's 6mm Remington with his load using H100V powder. In his 22' barrel on his Model 77 MKII he is getting 3180 fps without any pressure signs. It sure worked on an antelope and a deer last year. Great bullet.
I think I have enough for my 6mm with 100 gr. Partitions to get me through the season, but I might load up another 30 or so just to have them ready. I polished up about 50rounds in my case tumbler until they look real purty! That nice fellow by the name of Nodak 7mm sent those to me if you can believe that! That Nodak is a nice guy!

25-06: I just tumbled about 30 brass for my wifes 25-06 so I can load some 120 gr. Partitions in it. I am taking a young man hunting this year who has never hunted before. He has always wanted to but neither his parents or family hunt. He's 15 years old and I told his father that if he got him through hunters safety this year I would take him elk and deer hunting. This boy's name is Andy and he really is one great kid, he's a gem. Sharp and has a personality to match. I am very honored to take him and that his father has allowed me to do this. Andy has Cystic Fibrosis and was diagnosed with it when he was about 4 years old. He takes a treatment with a special machine to work his lungs every morning so if we camp I just have to take the generator so it will power his machine. He can do the treatments himself. That's about it except he has to eat a lot and often as his body does not absorb the nutrients of the food very well. He has to take an enzyme pill before he eats anything and that helps him get his body to soak up the good stuff. I cannot tell you how excited I am to take Andy and my son Jeff over hunting. Would it not be sweet to bump into a group of elk and they were able to pull a double out of it. That would mean more to me than anything in this world!! Sorry guys I digress. I also need to work on the 110 AccuBond in this rifle as I want to use it. I know it's hard to beat the Partition.

My 30-06 with 165 gr. Accubonds is good, so that's about it for me. :shock:

If moose with a pickup is fair chase in BC, then I don't see why coyote with combine wouldn't be fair chase in ND.

I think it is just great that you are working with the young lad for a hunt this fall. Man, I'm pulling for you to put him onto some game. It would mean a lot to all of us to see pictures of Andy and Jeff with game on the ground.

Can't say I'm loading anything, but I'm getting closer to getting a bench up and running in the (not quite so) new house. Being home only a handful of days a month is putting a crimp in my toy time! Most of my gear is in storage, so I guess I have an excuse to buy a new Redding T7 Turret press!

I did get some brass tumbled... .380, 9mm, .40, .45ACP, 5.56, .270, 7 RemMag, .300 WinMag, .35 Whelen.

I got everything loaded last Sat as I'm leaving Wed morning set up camp. I got lucky this year got 2 cow tags,1 bull tag,1 buck tag and one late antelope tag and I'll buy OTC Plains either sex elk tag to take along with my antelope tag. My wife and I drew same season deer tags that starts Nov 6 thru 14 and she get a bull tag.

My new 300WSM with Kreiger barrel back at gunsmith may have to send the barrel back to Kreiger and decided I needed more time with the 280AI so work on that after hunting season.

The other 3 new one I got this year are pretty good and I'll take them on some different tags 30-338mag 165gr AccuBond,35 Whelen AI 225gr AccuBond and 284 with 160gr AccuBond. I haven't done alot of varmit shooting this year so given me alot more time shooting the deer/elk rifles I've had build the last few years been fun.

Yes he is! He spent some of his valuable time freely helping me on the phone. Scotty and DrMike and many others on this board have sure been great to me. Because of this board and these guys, I use Nosler bullets and brass now and I promote their products as well. ...not to forget to mention these are beautiful premium products that prove themselves.

Wow! What a great time you'll have. I wish my 35 Whelen was doing all I wanted. I've ordered a new barrel for it with a faster twist to stabilize heavier bullets. We'll see what comes of that. Sorry to hear about the 300 WSM. That must be a disappointment.

Well the 280 is DIALED IN!
58 grs of H4831 in new Nosler brass produced a 1.25 inch group at 200 yards.
Unfortunately it wasn't with the 140ABs,it was a 139 Hornady BTSP.

On the other hand, :grin: the Savage 110 in 7 Rem Mag LOVES 160 ABs and RL 22.
The Model 70 7Rem Mag,I'm still working on.Scope issues set me back two weeks nearly but 160 ABs and RL22 were looking good before the scope went south.

The 257 Bob with RL 17 and 100 BTs is a deer killer for sure.

Got the 250 Savage splitting hairs with 90 gr Sierra BTHPs and H380.

Somewhere up there are 50 new Nosler '06 cases and some 165 ABs that I haven't gotten to yet.I'm thinking RL19 or RL22 just for a change of pace.............

Oh yeah,had to stop and load 40 rounds of 308 for a buddy of mine who just got an AR10 and needed something to kill critters with besides FGMM 175 SMKs.

Did I mention I have a new, unfinished, laminated stock coming for the Mdl 70?????????????????????????

Those are some classic rounds you're working on.

It is dangerous buying a laminate stock. It means you'll shortly have a "spare" stock lying around, and that will mean that you must begin building another rifle. Oh, it is a dangerous venture on your part. However, it is delightful.
