Fotis if the stock is the Black plastic $35 Tupperware that Wby used I would be looking at putting a new stock on it. Had one on my S1 Vanguard 300Wby and every shooting session was an adventure. It now wears a B&C Medalist and I've had zero issues with it.

Thought about that .... BUT that forces you to go free-floated and only free-floated correct? The only bees I have ever seen shoot F/F are the accumarks. None other factory guns.

That is a bit of dough to spend on a gamble......

Fotis I'm kind of thinking seating depth here. I have found with the tsx bullets that if you seat the bullet so the center of the top groove is seated at the case mouth they shoot lights out when coupled with the right charge weight.

Fotis I have a B&C medalist stock for a Mark V you could try. It's been bedded to my action and the barrel channel is free floated. Just a thought if your interested.

You could always go wood.....
Pull the action out, reseat it at 35
and try some  250's.

You won't get good single groups using loads assembled from two kinds of powder. Send me the RL22 to avoid further confusion.

That was funny...
If you don't have a selection of 33's in 250gr to try you could PM
me and I could fix you up with some. But no 250 AB's. Skid

My guess would be paralax error or inconsistent cheek placement on the stock.

Or something else I don't know.

I free float all of my Mark V's if possible, especially if I swap them into a B&C.
Same with my Vanguards.

You can always add back a bump, but I've never done that (yet).

You don't have to free float it, though. You may get lucky enough to be able to drop it in, tighten it up and have it fit relatively well.

FYI - screw torque for the synthetic stock is 25 in-lbs or even less despite what the tech person told you. Wood stocks are 35, Accumark/Fibermarks are 55. I tried 35 once with a synthetic stock and the plastic bent so much I couldn't believe it. I'm very surprised you got 55 in-lbs to work without really denting the plastic.

That's why I said bedding and/or screw torque in my previous post...

I did that to my model 70 when it had the plastic stock....split the stock under the tang.

I don't doubt that at all.

The plastic stock on my 300 Vanguard started to bend at about 20. I bedded the recoil lug to avoid this, but shortly thereafter found a great deal on a B&C and never shot it in the plastic stock.

The two bedded epoxy alignment lugs in the plastic stock which Patrick has will not shoot a single group because the barrel will not stabilize in the stock since those bedded alignment lugs broke off from the receiver ring.

Man... Its hard for me to swallow that 25 in. lbs will hold a
.340 action down. Maybe this will solve your problem.
I will be watching this outcome.

Pretty interesting Fotis, any pictures of the groups.

Sounds like a fierce combo though. Wyoming elk should be scared!

MAN! It seems like every possible scenario has been covered. Ill throw my 2 cents in the pot and just blame that wyoming wind tunnel. Can't wait to hear how you resolve this. . .if it was me, I would try a different powder and see how that went

The factory also used a daub of red Loctite on the action screws, so that also helped keep it in place.

My Medalist came with the pressure points in the forearm. It solved my problem of walking or scattered groups. I latter removed them a little at a time till it was full floated. I would shoot it to check if the accuracy would improve each time I removed some material. My rifle liked less pressure on the barrel.
I picked my stock up for $240 and considered it money well spent with the satisfaction I got out of having the rifle shoot consistent groups instead of a shot gun pattern.

I've had POI shifts because I was getting up after 2 shots and getting a different hold/position on the rifle when I sat down again.

Fotis ,You can't buy this Mossy Oak camo pattern any longer it was discontinued, I was just lucky to find one at a B&C dealer. I'm sure you can find other B&C patterns you will like.
