Saturday afternoon late I was able to head out with a friend to do a little doggin with a couple of XP's.
He christened his 6.5 PRC XP-100 with his first dog, and it was fun to be there for that.
He has already killed a buck antelope with it in 2023, but this was the first prairie dog.
My center-grip 6.5-284 took care of of some pd's as well, once he got his first taken care.
We didn't take any pics...So maybe it never happened. 😇
The wind was a quartering tail. It was blowing hard enough, that it required a 12-13 mph full value correction for hits early on.
The wind began to die down as nightfall approached, and the wind switched direction to almost a tailwind.
A good ending to a long day.

Congratulations to your friend!
Sounds like a fun time. What kind of distances were you fellas shooting?

Primarily in the 275-350 yard range.
The wind was squirrely enough, that I missed several times. We used his truck to block the wind and sun, but it also made it to where I couldn't feel the wind.
That being said, gusty winds are going to get you anyway-They got me a few times for sure.

Great shooting Ernie. Small targets in windy conditions is a tough challenge, especially at those distances.
