Doc gave me the okay to shoot "mild handguns" meaning .22's and .38's. No rifles of any kind, and none of my stout-kicking handguns either.

So this morning before my 10-mile walk, I went to the range and put some rounds through the little .22 "Sig" 1911.

Dang that was fun! (y)

Those Sigs are nice. I must have missed something I don;t remember seeing where you needed surgery. Glad it all worked out for you and you are healing fine.

Way to go Guy.
Glad you are starting to shoot.

Once addicted to the smell of burning powder.... :) Glad you got out. That pistol looks like fun. CL

It no doubt feels good to have a handgun filling the hand again. Good stuff, Guy.

I'm guessing rotator cuff,

Spine.

Did the rotator cuff about 8 years ago...

Shot pretty well, but just the .22, didn't try the .45 yet.

Nice to see you back out shooting Guy.

Darn Guy. Get well. Got to be tough on an active guy.
Kind of sucks when the warranty runs out on us.

Problem with the warranty running out is that there seems to be a general recall about that time. Growing older ain't for cowards, that's for sure.

Yup. I think I've got some years left. Walking 3-10 miles daily since the surgery. Recently cleared to lift LIGHT weights.

Feeling strong, feeling good.

Regards, Guy

Good luck Guy and take it slow with the heavy stuff. I had to use alternative medicine for my spinal injuries since they Doc said he would have to gut me like a fish and lay all my internals out on the table to since the range of damage was so extensive. He also said I would have to be super man to with stand the surgery. I have bulged or ruptured disc from my neck to my tail bone and have my Chiropractor working on L3 trying to get it off the nerve as I write.
Never ending battle when we get older and the abuse we inflected upon our selves catches up to us.
