For those of you who know me it's no secret that I am a huge fun of Savage rifles. A while ago I bought a Savage switchback in 6mm ARC. I was playing around with it this past weekend (disregard date on picture, should be 5/19/23) and found a few loads.
First the 108 Match Hornady Factory load shot .7" at 100 yards with a velocity of 2650 or so. A little too slow for my liking but ok.
My load of 29.5 gr of lever-evolution shot the 90 ELDX at 2905 and .55" at 100 yards.
I thought I might as well work up a varmint load with this gun. Why? no clue since I have more than a dozen rifles that qualify for this task. From 22 LR to 17 Hornet to 22 Creed. Anyway this is how the varmint load played out.
Not too shabby I guess for a no frills rifle
