German Food

There's but one German restaurant here that I know of called Restaurant Linderhof. I haven't been there yet as it's about a 15 mile drive and I hate to go to a restaurant alone.( no wife or lady friends) so, I just dream of that superb food.

Pomfritts-now that does ring a bell, french fries best I remember. Even the gals that worked in the snack bar on base were superb cooks and their "pomfritts" were out of this world.

We used to do combined exercises with the German and British Air Forces in Germany at RAF Air Bases and the German's would cater the food and boy I tell you the schnitzel was to die for and never ending!! Kinda like the beer :lol: but I hated working with those Brit fly boys as they are plum outta their minds with some of the stuff they pull ! I was in country when the Cold War came to a close and the WALL came down, kinda neat to see that happen! Plus all the East German Frau's were let loose like a shot from a cannon :lol: and I know a lotta guys getting hitched to them !! The East German's were driving their Trau Bant's on the Bahn at like 45 mph and I almost hit several of those worthless cars!!
